Invitation to SMEs to attend the free Circularity Acceleration Training 4.0 (CAT4.0) training on circularity and digital transformation within the Circular4.0 project
Purpose and objective of the CAT4.0 project
The purpose of the project CAT4.0 is to train a total of 35 SMEs in Slovenia with the aim of discovering potentials for introducing circular and digital transformation, changing business models and facilitating integration into global value chains. The training will take place in the light of the European Green Deal, with the aim of creating a platform for a circular strategy, to achieve more added value, productivity, to increase positive impacts on the environment, people and communities, and with the additional objective of providing a platform for companies to apply for the upcoming calls under the Recovery and Resilience Plan scheme and other appropriate financial instruments.
With the help of selected circular and digital transformation experts, SMEs will assess their level of circular and digital maturity, identify innovation and technology needs for circular transformation, design new circular and digital business models, prepare a roadmap for the transition to a circular economy and, presumably, a financial investment plan for obtaining bank financing or for presenting the circular transformation model and investment needs to potential public or private investors. In addition to tailor-made group training, each company will also receive 1:1 advice from a selected expert during the training process.
The selected experts will deliver training for SMEs on circular and digital transformation using the CAT4.0 method, based on the circular design model, the circular optimal use model and the circular value recovery model.
Training timeframe
The CAT4.0 training, which will be delivered by selected experts, will take place in several stages, firstly as a group session (up to 4 hours per session), and then each SME will receive an individual consultation with an expert on a 1:1 basis (up to 6 hours per SME).
The training is scheduled to take place from 15 February 2022 to 31 March 2022, either at the company’s premises or at TPLJ’s premises in Ljubljana, or virtually (depending on health conditions).
The specific training dates will be determined before the start of the training. The selected companies will be informed in due time.
CAT4.0 training for SMEs is free of charge.
Target group for training
The target group is SMEs. In the event of a high number of applications, priority will be given to SMEs operating in the wood-processing, plastics, construction, manufacturing or food industries.
Should the number of applications from SMEs be too high, even taking into account the above condition, priority will be given to those SMEs that submit their applications earlier.
Deadline for CAT4.0 training: Wednesday 23.2.2022 via the registration form.
